Legal Counsel, Technology (3 to 5 PQE) - Technology MNC

Our client is an established US-headquartered global technology solutions and services group with operations across multiple international markets. The company partners with many of the world’s leading technology manufacturers, cloud providers and enterprise customers, supporting complex technology deployments and solutions across Asia Pacific and globally.As the business continues to grow, they are looking to hire an Legal Counsel, Technology (3 to 5 PQE) based in Singapore to support their commercial activities across the APAC region.Reporting into the General Counsel, you will serve as a key legal partner to the regional business and work closely with commercial, sales, finance, operations and logistics teams.You will take primary responsibility for reviewing, drafting and negotiating a broad range of technology and commercial agreements, while providing practical and commercially focused legal advice to stakeholders across the business.Key responsibilities will include:Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer and vendor agreements, master services agreements, reseller and distribution agreements, software and technology licensing agreements, NDAs and related commercial contracts.Leading contract negotiations with enterprise customers, technology partners, vendors and other third parties.Advising internal stakeholders on contractual and commercial risk, including liability, indemnities, intellectual property, warranties, service levels, data protection, confidentiality and termination provisions.Supporting the company’s technology, cloud, infrastructure and managed services businesses across Asia Pacific.Working closely with Sales and other commercial stakeholders to facilitate transactions while appropriately managing legal risk.Providing legal support on cross-border matters involving multiple jurisdictions.Advising on related issues including data privacy, regulatory compliance, import/export matters and other general corporate and commercial matters as required.Supporting global legal initiatives and working closely with members of the wider international legal team.The successful candidate is likely to have:Approximately 3–5 years of relevant legal experience, gained either in-house or within a recognised law firm.Qualification to practise law in Singapore is highly preferred.Strong hands-on experience reviewing, redlining and negotiating commercial contracts.Prior experience within the technology, IT, cloud, software, hardware or technology services sector would be highly advantageous.Experience working for a technology OEM, systems integrator, IT solutions provider, reseller, managed services provider or similar organisation would be particularly relevant.A strong understanding of commercial contracting issues and the ability to identify practical solutions rather than simply highlight legal risk.Excellent drafting, negotiation and stakeholder-management skills.The confidence to work directly with commercial teams and senior stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.Strong written and spoken English.Mandarin language capability would be advantageous given the regional remit.
