As we expand our operations in Dubai and across the UAE, we are seeking an experienced, locally based lawyer to provide practical legal and regulatory support.Role OverviewWe are seeking a Russian-speaking Legal Counsel based in Dubai with strong knowledge of the UAE business and regulatory environment. The role will initially be part-time and may develop into a broader or full-time position as our Dubai operations expand.The successful candidate will support corporate and regulatory matters, customs clearance, product certifications, commercial contracts, and the general legal requirements of our UAE-based operations. This role requires a commercially minded legal professional who can work independently, navigate local procedures, and provide practical, business-focused consultancy.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvise on UAE corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters.Support the establishment, structuring, licensing, and ongoing compliance of UAE entities.Provide legal guidance concerning Dubai mainland and free-zone requirements.Assist with customs clearance, import and export procedures, product registration, and relevant certifications.Conduct legal research and assess risks associated with new projects, products, platforms, and business models in the UAE.Develop practical risk-mitigation recommendations aligned with the company’s commercial objectives.Liaise with UAE authorities, free-zone administrations, certification bodies, external legal advisers, and other local service providers.Provide general legal support to management and operational teams.Monitor relevant changes in UAE legislation and regulatory requirements.RequirementsDegree in Law; a Master’s degree or additional legal qualification is an advantage.At least three years of relevant legal experience, preferably with a recognised law firm, corporate legal department, or international company.Strong practical knowledge of UAE corporate, commercial, and regulatory requirements.Current residence in Dubai and a good understanding of the local business environment.Fluent Russian and professional-level written and spoken English.Strong legal drafting, contract review, negotiation, and research skills.Experience with intellectual property, customs procedures, product certification, or regulatory approvals is highly desirable.Ability to work independently, manage several matters simultaneously, and deliver practical solutions within deadlines.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Experience supporting technology, healthcare, financial services, digital platforms, DeepTech, or other innovation-focused businesses is an advantage.Existing professional relationships with UAE authorities, free zones, certification organisations, or local legal service providers would be beneficial.What We OfferA flexible, initially part-time working arrangement.The opportunity to support the expansion of an international organisation in Dubai and across the UAE.Exposure to innovative projects involving technology, analytics, intellectual property, healthcare, and digital platforms.Direct involvement in strategic corporate and operational matters.The potential for the position to expand as our UAE operations grow.A dynamic international working environment with opportunities for professional development.
