Clients choose Conquer Nation for a logistics partner that quietly performs in the background while ensuring products arrive exactly where they need to be, right on time.Role Description The Legal In-House Counsel - Federal & Corporate Affairs is a full-time, hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role oversees federal regulatory and corporate legal matters affecting Conquer Nation’s logistics operations, including compliance with transportation, trade, and data privacy regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts and service agreements, providing legal advice to leadership and operational teams, and managing risk across corporate and federal affairs. The counsel will monitor changes in laws and regulations relevant to 3PL services, develop internal policies, and support training to ensure compliance across departments. Additional duties include coordinating with external counsel as needed, supporting dispute resolution, and contributing to strategic initiatives that align legal practices with business goals.QualificationsStrong foundation in Law, Litigation, Business, Employment Law, Real Estate with expertise in federal regulatory frameworks and corporate governance relevant to transportation and logistics.Demonstrated experience in Contract Negotiation, including commercial agreements, NDAs, vendor contracts, and customer service terms.Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, such as drafting policies, compliance guidelines, contract templates, and corporate resolutions.Ability to identify, assess, and manage Legal Issues across federal, corporate, and operational domains in a fast-paced business environment.Skilled in providing clear, practical Legal Advice to executives and cross-functional teams, supporting informed business decisions.Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. state; eligibility to practice in California preferred.Experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related industries is beneficial, along with familiarity with data privacy and commercial law.Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid setting.
