Legal Manager (Consumer Electronics)

Our client a leading consumer electronics organization to appoint a Legal & Compliance professional to strengthen their regional legal function. This role offers broad exposure across compliance, litigation support, corporate governance, and regulatory affairs, with responsibility spanning the UAE, KSA, GCC, and Africa.This is a strategic, hands-on role suited for a legal professional who is comfortable operating in a regulated environment and engaging closely with government authorities and senior stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a core member of the Legal team, managing end-to-end legal matters with a strong focus on compliance and litigationLiaise with government authorities and external bodies (including JAFZA, ministries, notary public, police authorities), ensuring effective communication in ArabicDrive cross-functional implementation of compliance frameworks covering anti-fraud, anti-bribery, anti-corruption, cartel prevention, and anti-money launderingConduct daily reviews of applications, forms, and regulatory documentation to ensure alignment with Head Office policiesResearch and advise on regional legislation and regulatory requirements, including JAFZA Free Zone regulations, across GCC and AfricaSupport U.S. sanctions and trade compliance requirementsAssist with arbitration and litigation matters, including coordination with external legal counselOversee corporate governance and company secretarial matters, including resolutions, AGMs, annual filings, and statutory complianceManage KSA-related legal work, including licensing, regulatory compliance, contracts, disputes, and liaison with relevant authoritiesDeliver internal legal awareness sessions and practical training to business teamsCandidate ProfileExperience in legal, compliance, or corporate governance within a structured organizationStrong exposure to regulatory and government-facing mattersArabic speaker (mandatory)Legally qualified and admitted to practice law in any jurisdiction (bar qualification is mandatory)Commercially astute with strong stakeholder management skillsComfortable working across multiple jurisdictionsWhy JoinOpportunity to work with a market-leading consumer electronics brandBroad regional remit and high-visibility legal exposureStable, compliance-led environment with long-term growth potentialClose interaction with senior leadership and external authorities
