Job Description – Legal OfficerCompany: ProgenesisLocation: Thane, MaharashtraDepartment: Legal & ComplianceExperience: 4+ YearsEmployment Type: Full-TimeAbout the RoleWe are looking for a Legal Officer to handle the company's legal, litigation, contractual and compliance matters. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in legal drafting, litigation coordination, contract vetting and providing practical legal advice to internal stakeholders.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and coordinate civil, criminal, commercial and consumer litigation.Coordinate with external advocates and legal counsels for ongoing matters.Draft and vet agreements, contracts, legal notices, affidavits, petitions and other legal documents.Review contracts and identify potential legal and commercial risks.Provide legal advice to management and internal teams.Handle statutory, regulatory and compliance-related matters.Conduct legal due diligence for property/real estate and other business transactions.Handle recovery matters, settlements and dispute resolution.Maintain litigation records, legal documentation and periodic MIS.Conduct legal research and keep the organization updated on relevant legal developments.Candidate ProfileLLB from a recognized university; B.Com + LLB preferred.4+ years of relevant experience in litigation and/or in-house legal.Strong knowledge of legal drafting, contracts, litigation and compliance.Exposure to RERA, NCLT/IBC, DRT, arbitration and real estate matters is preferred.Excellent communication, drafting, negotiation and analytical skills.Ability to work independently and provide practical, business-oriented legal solutions.Key SkillsLitigation | Legal Advisory | Contract Drafting & Vetting | Compliance | Legal Research | Dispute Resolution | Real Estate | Risk Management | Negotiation
