MSCFV provides free, comprehensive services including legal assistance, counseling, access to a food pantry, clothing, and individualized support to help clients move from crisis toward stable, safer futures. The organization responds to over 600 hotline calls annually, reflecting the strong and growing need for accessible, trauma-informed services. MSCFV uses innovative GIS mapping technology through the Chesapeake Crisis to Self Sufficiency Model to help clients identify safe, affordable housing near employment, transportation, and essential resources. Through collaboration, technology, and compassionate advocacy, MSCFV works to foster safety, empowerment, and resilience for individuals and families seeking lives free from violence and fear.Role Description The Legal Services Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Easton, MD, responsible for providing direct supervision, leadership, and coordination for MSCFV’s Legal Advocacy team. This position is responsible for ensuring that Legal Advocates provide consistent, trauma-informed, survivor-centered advocacy and support to individuals impacted by domestic violence while maintaining high standards of service delivery, documentation, collaboration, and professional practice.The Coordinator serves as the primary day-to-day supervisor for Legal Advocates, providing coaching, case consultation, workload management, and performance support. The position oversees the daily coordination of legal advocacy services, assists staff in navigating complex cases and court-related matters, and works collaboratively with community partners and legal system stakeholders to support survivors' access to safety, protection, and legal remedies.The Legal Services Coordinator works closely with the Director of Victim Services and Case Manager Coordinator to ensure effective coordination between legal advocacy and other victim services. The Coordinator also supports onboarding and training of Legal Advocates, facilitates team meetings and case consultations, monitors documentation and service delivery, and assists with the development and implementation of legal advocacy procedures and workflows.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in social work, human services, criminal justice, legal studies, or a related field; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.Minimum of 2 years of experience providing advocacy or direct services to survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, or other forms of interpersonal violence.Demonstrated knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, trauma-informed advocacy, survivor-centered practices, and safety planning.Experience providing advocacy and support to survivors navigating the legal system, including family law, protective orders, criminal justice, or related legal matters.Experience working collaboratively with attorneys, courts, law enforcement, prosecutors, and other community partners.Previous supervisory, lead, or team coordination experience preferred.Compensation$70,000-$72,000 annually
