ABOUT THE ROLEWatania Steel is seeking an experienced Legal Specialist / Legal Consultant to provide legal support and advisory services across the company’s commercial and operational activities. The successful candidate will bring strong corporate and commercial legal expertise, deep knowledge of the Saudi legal and regulatory environment, and proven skills in contract review, negotiation, compliance, and legal risk management.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESProvide legal advice and support on day-to-day commercial, corporate, and operational matters.Draft, review, negotiate, and manage commercial contracts, agreements, service agreements, NDAs, and other legal documents.Review contractual terms and identify potential legal, commercial, and regulatory risks.Support contract negotiations with suppliers, contractors, customers, and other business partners.Ensure compliance with applicable Saudi laws, regulations, and company policies.Conduct legal research and provide practical legal opinions and recommendations to management.Manage and maintain legal documentation, contracts, notices, claims, and correspondence.Coordinate with external legal counsel, government authorities, and other relevant stakeholders when required.Support the company in handling disputes, claims, and legal matters.Monitor changes in Saudi laws and regulations and assess their potential impact on the company’s business activities.Coordinate with internal departments, including Procurement, Finance, HR, Operations, Maintenance, and Administration, to address legal requirements and risks.REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONSExperience: 2–7 years of relevant legal experience.Education: Preferably a degree in Law or an equivalent legal qualification.Nationality: Saudi nationals are preferred; qualified and experienced expatriates are also acceptable. Candidates currently residing in KSA with solid knowledge of the Saudi legal and business environment are preferred.Legal Areas: Commercial contracts, corporate matters, compliance, legal advisory, disputes, and regulatory matters.Industry Experience: Hands-on legal experience within steel manufacturing, heavy industry, manufacturing, construction, or a similar industrial environment is preferred.Legal Knowledge: Strong knowledge of relevant Saudi laws, regulations, contractual principles, and commercial practices.Key Skills: Contract drafting and review, legal research, negotiation, risk assessment, compliance, dispute management, and effective legal advisory.Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
