Team members work in a collaborative environment that values professionalism, safety, and excellent customer service.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Leisure Attendant role, based in Dublin, combining lifeguard and swim teacher responsibilities. The role involves supervising the swimming pool and surrounding areas to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all users, responding to emergencies, and enforcing pool rules and standards. The Leisure Attendant will plan and deliver engaging, level-appropriate swimming lessons to individuals and groups, support lesson administration, and provide ongoing feedback to participants or caregivers. Daily tasks include setting up and maintaining equipment, monitoring water quality, maintaining high hygiene and cleanliness standards, and reporting any facility or safety issues. The role also involves interacting with members and guests in a professional manner, answering queries, supporting reception or membership teams when required, and contributing to a positive, inclusive atmosphere.Qualifications Strong swimming ability and recognized lifeguard qualification, with up-to-date CPR and first aid certification.Accredited swim teaching qualification and experience delivering structured swimming lessons to different age groups and abilities.Knowledge of pool safety procedures, risk assessment, and emergency response protocols in a leisure or aquatic environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants and work effectively in a team.Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.Experience in customer service or working with the public in a sports, leisure, or educational setting is an advantage.Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Relevant safeguarding training and understanding of appropriate conduct when working with children and vulnerable adults is beneficial.
