Leveraged Finance Associate

An elite US law firm is seeking a talented mid-level Leveraged Finance Associate to join its highly regarded Banking & Finance practice in Dubai.The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-value financing transactions across the Middle East, advising leading private equity sponsors, financial institutions, corporates and other major market participants.The RoleYou will work closely with partners and senior associates on a broad range of leveraged and acquisition finance matters, including:Leveraged acquisition and buyout financingsSponsor-backed transactionsSenior, subordinated and mezzanine debt financingsTerm loan and revolving credit facilitiesUnitranche and other alternative financing structuresCross-border financings involving Middle Eastern and international jurisdictionsRefinancings, recapitalisations and amendmentsSecurity and intercreditor arrangementsReviewing and negotiating facility agreements, commitment papers, intercreditor agreements and related finance documentationWorking directly with sophisticated international clients and counterpartiesThe role offers significant exposure to high-profile transactions and market-leading sponsors and lenders, with the opportunity to work as part of a genuinely international team.Candidate Profile3–6 years' post-qualification experienceTraining and experience at a leading international or top-tier law firmExcellent knowledge of English-law or New York-law leveraged finance documentationExperience on complex, cross-border transactionsStrong drafting, negotiation and analytical skillsExcellent academic credentialsThe ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-performance environmentExcellent written and spoken EnglishExperience in the Middle East is advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.Also open to relocators.
