Library Manager - UAEN

Talents Tides is hiring a Library Manager for a leading government entity in Dubai.The role will oversee library operations across multiple branches, including Al Safa, Umm Suqeim, Hor Al Anz, Al Manakh, Hatta, Al Rashidiya, Al Twar and Al Ras.ResponsibilitiesLead daily library operations, programs, services and visitor experience across multiple branchesDevelop and expand physical and digital library resources and collectionsDevelop strategic and operational plans, KPIs and performance reportsBuild and maintain partnerships with cultural, educational and community organisationsPlan and deliver community programs, reading initiatives, book fairs, seminars and cultural eventsOversee service quality, visitor satisfaction and continuous improvement initiativesManage and develop a team of library specialists and library services officersSupport workforce planning, staff performance and trainingMonitor budgets, operational expenditure and financial reportingEnsure compliance with library standards, policies, procedures and service requirementsSupport digital transformation and the use of library technologies and systemsQualificationsUAENBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Library & Information Science, Education, Project Management or a related fieldRequired Skills7+ years of relevant professional experienceExperience in library services, cultural institutions, community programs, public-facing services, operations or a closely related environmentStrong strategic and operational planning, KPI and performance management skillsStrong communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skillsExperience managing teams and working with internal and external stakeholdersExperience with service standards, community engagement or public-facing operations is highly valuedDirect library management experience is a strong advantage, but not a strict requirementPreferred SkillsDirect library management experience is a strong advantage Qualified candidates can send their updated CV to ashley@talentstides.com with “Library Manager” as the subject.
