This comprehensive philosophy shapes both the services provided and the experience of professionals who work there.Role Description: The Licensed Mental Health Counselor is a full-time, on-site role based in Miami, FL. This position involves providing individual, couples, and family counseling that aligns with SURVE’s holistic, patient-centered care model. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, delivering evidence-based therapeutic interventions, and coordinating services that address emotional, social, and lifestyle needs. The counselor will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and participate in case consultations. The role also includes educating clients and their support networks on mental health resources, promoting social engagement, and supporting clients in integrating wellness strategies into their daily lives.QualificationsStrong foundation in Mental Health and Psychology, with the ability to apply evidence-based practices in diverse clinical situations.Proficiency in Treatment Planning and Case Management to design, implement, and coordinate holistic, patient-centered care plans.Experience in Relationship Counseling, including work with couples, families, and social systems that impact client well-being.Active state licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) or equivalent in Florida.Relevant master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related behavioral health field.Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to build trust and collaborate in an interdisciplinary team.Commitment to holistic care, cultural humility, and trauma-informed, inclusive practices.Experience with in-home or community-based services and familiarity with Miami-area resources is beneficial.
