Day-to-day responsibilities include facilitating therapy sessions, maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation, coordinating care with other providers when appropriate, and monitoring client progress toward treatment goals. The counselor will use evidence-based therapeutic modalities, offer crisis intervention when needed, and participate in case consultations and team meetings to support high-quality care. This is a full-time, on-site role located in McAllen, TX, requiring consistent availability during scheduled client hours and adherence to professional and ethical standards.QualificationsActive licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)/ Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or equivalent in the state of Texas, in good standing.Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-informed care, person-centered therapy).Strong skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting tailored to diverse client needs.Ability to maintain clear, accurate, and compliant clinical documentation, including progress notes and treatment records.Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and maintain professional boundaries.Experience working with diverse populations and a commitment to culturally responsive and inclusive care.Capacity to manage a consistent caseload, prioritize tasks, and work both independently and within a collaborative team setting.Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.Comfort with basic technology and practice management systems for scheduling, documentation, and telehealth, if applicable.Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development, supervision, and continuing education.
