Apply & track with Apply EdgeLicensed Psychologist (PhD/PsyD), Therapy and TestingGlens Falls and SchenectadyNew YorkFull timeOsika & Scarano has practised in Glens Falls since 1999. We are a group of psychologists, clinical social workers and mental health counselors, treating adults, adolescents and children, and often whole families for years at a time. A child we evaluate at eight is sometimes still our patient at twenty eight.Testing and evaluation are a real part of what we do rather than something squeezed around a therapy caseload. You would carry a mix of both, and we will agree that balance with you rather than hand you one.WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENTA real testing practice. Cognitive, achievement, autism, ADHD and personality assessment across the lifespan, not an occasional add-on.Therapy and testing in the mix you choose. We would rather you design the balance than inherit it.Colleagues down the hall. Psychologists, social workers and counselors in the same building, and medication management through New Hope Psychiatry at the same address. No call, no nights, no weekends.Compensation above the local market. $135,000 to $155,000.THE ROLEPsychological evaluation and assessment for adults, adolescents and children, including cognitive, achievement, autism and ADHD batteries.Individual therapy with your own caseload, in the proportion you and we agree.Writing reports that the referring clinician, the school and the family can all use.Talking cases through with the social worker, counselor or nurse practitioner also treating your patient.Clinical documentation and administrative work supported by a full administrative team. Scheduling, intake paperwork, insurance verification, billing and credentialing are handled by people whose job that is, rather than left to the end of your clinical day.COMPENSATIONBase salary of $135,000 to $155,000, commensurate with experience. On the practice.Osika & Scarano has been clinician-led since 1999, and the people who run it are clinicians who still see patients. For someone who becomes a long-term part of how it runs, an equity conversation is a real one, and you would have it directly with the people who lead the practice. On loan repayment. Both our offices are approved National Health Service Corps sites, and our Mental Health HPSA scores are 16 in Glens Falls and 18 in Schenectady. The New York Primary Care Service Corps pays up to $36,000 to clinical psychologists, and unlike most programs it expressly bars Public Service Loan Forgiveness, so a psychologist at a hospital has to choose between them and you would not. As a private practice we are not a PSLF-qualifying employer, and we would rather raise that now than have you discover it later.QUALIFICATIONSRequiredDoctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in clinical or counseling psychology from an accredited program.APA-accredited internship.Licensed as a psychologist in New York State, or license-eligible, or eligible for a New York State Limited Permit.Working familiarity with the core instrument families used here: cognitive and achievement, autism-specific, ADHD and executive function, and personality and symptom validity measures. No licensure restrictions, sanctions, or exclusion from Medicare, Medicaid or any federal health program.Preferred- Experience with child and adolescent assessment.- ADOS-2 training.- Experience across both therapy and testing.- Comfort with telehealth for the therapy portion.- Spanish language ability.
