Licensed Surgical Veterinary Technician - Anesthesia Our surgical team at Sugar Land Veterinary Specialists is rapidly growing and we are looking for a talented and motivated Surgery and Anesthesia Technician to join us.Work with brilliant and caring board certified surgeonsBe a part of a team of technicians and surgeons that have a positive and engaged cultureProvide high quality patient carePlace arterial and central lines, urinary catheters, and NG TubesAdministering local and regional anesthesiaPerform critical care anesthesia to include mechanical ventilation and TIVASurgical preparation Client interaction and education during initial consultations and dismissalsBandage application and changesDo you love being a surgical assistant on the following types of cases?Orthopedics and ArthroscopyRegular and complex soft tissueInterventional radiologyOncologicWe are looking for an LVT, VTS or an LVT on track to become a VTS in anesthesia. Our Core Values keep us focused on what is really important – quality care for pets and their people.Requirements: LVT with at least 4 years of experience in a specialty surgery and anesthesia setting and having knowledge about specialty surgical procedures, surgical assisting experience, instrumentation knowledge, and being able to independently run up to level 5 ASA anesthesia cases.
