ICS promotes a fair, ethical, and professional insurance marketplace by ensuring compliance with legislation, bylaws, and regulatory standards, and by protecting the public interest through effective oversight.The OpportunityICS is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Licensing Officer to join our team. This role plays a key part in assessing the suitability of applicants for licensing, administering licensing processes, and supporting compliance with Saskatchewan’s insurance regulatory framework.You will work in a professional regulatory environment that requires sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to interpret and apply legislation consistently and fairly.Key ResponsibilitiesReview and process licensing applications, ensuring compliance with requirements set out in The Insurance Act, The Insurance Regulations, and Council Bylaws.Assess applications for completeness, accuracy, and suitability, and identify deficiencies where further information or clarification is required.Provide clear guidance to applicants and licensees on licensing requirements and processes.Respond to inquiries from licensees, applicants, and members of the public regarding licensing matters.Support investigations into non‑compliant conduct, as required, including compiling information and providing recommendations from a licensing perspective.Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive personal and regulatory information.QualificationsThe successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work within a regulatory framework.You will typically have:Experience in a professional office environment, ideally involving the interpretation and application of legislation, policy, or regulatory requirements.Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail.Knowledge of office procedures and proficiency with word‑processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.The ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage difficult or sensitive interactions professionally.A high level of discretion and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.What We OfferCompetitive salary range: $55,747 – $72,607 per yearComprehensive health benefits, including life insurance, medical, dental, and disability coverageEmployee pension planProfessional development and learning opportunitiesA supportive, collaborative workplace cultureCareer growth potentialExcellent work‑life balanceAdditional InformationThe successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal record check.How to ApplyTo apply, please email your application to Denny.Huyghebaert@skcouncil.sk.ca.
