Job SummaryPalma Beach Resort & Spa is looking for a responsible, alert, and professional Lifeguard to ensure the safety and well-being of guests using the resort’s swimming pools and beach facilities. The Lifeguard will monitor pool and beach areas, respond promptly to emergencies, and provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.Key ResponsibilitiesMonitor swimming pools, beach areas, and other designated recreational facilities at all times.Ensure the safety of guests by enforcing pool and beach safety rules and regulations.Maintain constant vigilance and identify potential hazards or unsafe behaviour.Respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies, accidents, and water-related incidents.Perform rescue and first-aid procedures when required.Maintain valid lifeguard and first-aid certifications.Check pool and surrounding areas regularly to ensure they are clean, safe, and free from hazards.Report any accidents, injuries, unsafe conditions, or maintenance issues to the concerned department or supervisor.Assist guests with safety-related queries and provide clear instructions when necessary.Ensure appropriate safety equipment, rescue equipment, and first-aid supplies are readily available.Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and other required reports.Coordinate with the Recreation, Security, Front Office, and other departments during emergencies.Follow all resort policies, health and safety procedures, and UAE regulations.Maintain a professional, friendly, and courteous attitude towards guests and colleagues.Carry out any other duties assigned by the supervisor or management.RequirementsValid Lifeguard Certification.Valid First Aid and CPR certification.Previous experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a hotel, resort, swimming pool, or beach environment.Strong swimming and water-rescue skills.Good knowledge of pool and beach safety procedures.Ability to remain calm and respond effectively during emergencies.Good communication and interpersonal skills.Physically fit and able to work for extended periods in outdoor conditions.Customer-service oriented with a professional and approachable personality.Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.PreferredPrevious experience in a luxury hotel or beach resort.Knowledge of basic pool safety and water-quality procedures.UAE experience is an advantage.Additional swimming or water-safety certifications are an advantage.What We OfferOpportunity to work in a beachfront resort environment.Professional and supportive working environment.Opportunities for career development and training.Competitive salary and benefits, based on experience and company policy.
