Its expansive grounds and carefully designed accommodations focus on total guest satisfaction and a memorable stay.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lifeguard role based at Palma Beach Resort & Spa in Umm Al Quwain. The Lifeguard will oversee pools and beach areas, monitoring guest activity to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment. Daily responsibilities include observing swimmers, enforcing safety rules, responding promptly to emergencies, and performing water rescues and first aid when needed. The role also involves inspecting and maintaining safety equipment, keeping pool and beach areas tidy, and reporting hazards or incidents to management. The Lifeguard will interact professionally with guests, provide guidance on safe water practices, and collaborate with resort staff to support a positive guest experience.Qualifications Strong swimming ability and demonstrated water safety skills, with the capacity to perform rescues and assist guests in various water conditions.Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized authority, including current first aid and CPR certification for adults and children.Knowledge of pool and beach safety regulations, emergency procedures, and proper use and inspection of lifesaving equipment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm, professional manner when interacting with guests and responding to stressful situations.Ability to remain attentive and focused for extended periods, with strong observation skills and sound judgment in assessing risks.Physical fitness suitable for regular patrolling, quick response, and carrying out rescue operations and basic medical assistance.Experience working in resorts, hospitality, or recreational facilities is an advantage; prior lifeguard experience is highly preferred.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed, and willingness to adhere to resort policies, uniform standards, and cultural sensitivity requirements.
