Guests enjoy a combination of tranquility, comfort, and contemporary conveniences, making the resort ideal for both business stays and leisure getaways.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Lifeguard role based at Palma Beach Resort & Spa in Umm al-Quwain, United Arab Emirates. The Lifeguard monitors pools, beach, and water attractions to ensure guest safety, enforcing resort rules and identifying potential hazards. Daily tasks include maintaining constant surveillance, responding quickly and effectively to emergencies, and performing water rescues and first aid when needed. The Lifeguard also inspects and maintains safety equipment, checks water conditions, and reports any safety or maintenance concerns. In addition, the role involves communicating clearly with guests, providing guidance on safe water practices, and collaborating with other resort teams to support an excellent guest experience.QualificationsStrong swimming ability and water safety knowledge, including experience in pool and open-water environments.Certification in lifeguarding, CPR, and first aid (or willingness to obtain prior to start date).Ability to remain alert for extended periods, respond quickly under pressure, and follow emergency procedures accurately.Effective communication and customer service skills, with a calm, professional, and respectful approach to guests and colleagues.Basic understanding of health and safety standards, including risk assessment and incident reporting.Physical fitness sufficient for water rescues, lifting, and prolonged standing in outdoor conditions.Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar safety-focused hospitality or recreation role is an advantage.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by resort operations.
