DB LUMEN AUDIO VISUAL L.L.C partners with leading brands and event organizers, using state-of-the-art equipment and innovative AV solutions to transform venues into memorable environments.Role Description The Light Technician role is a full-time, on-site position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Light Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining lighting systems for events, including concerts, weddings, conferences, and corporate functions. Typical duties include rigging and focusing lights, programming lighting consoles, executing lighting cues during rehearsals and live events, and ensuring all equipment is safe, functional, and aligned with event designs. The role also involves collaborating with audio and video teams, supporting stage setup, troubleshooting technical issues on-site, and preparing equipment for transport and storage. The Light Technician is expected to follow health and safety standards, meet event timelines, and provide professional support to clients and event organizers.Qualifications Candidates should possess practical skills in lighting setup and operation, including experience with stage lighting fixtures, dimmers, controllers, and lighting consoles.Candidates should possess technical skills in troubleshooting electrical and lighting issues, understanding power distribution, and maintaining lighting equipment.Candidates should possess skills in reading and interpreting lighting plots, following event production plans, and coordinating with audio-visual and stage teams.Candidates should possess organizational skills for managing equipment inventories, preparing gear for events, and working efficiently under time constraints.Candidates should possess strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a customer-focused attitude and willingness to support diverse event types.Relevant experience in event production, live shows, or stage lighting is highly beneficial; vocational training or certification in lighting or audio-visual technology is an advantage.Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays; capacity to lift and move equipment and work at heights when required.
