As part of our continued growth, we are strengthening our lighting design capability and seeking an experienced professional to drive technical excellence, design quality, and team development.Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Lighting Design Manager to lead our lighting design team and oversee technical quality across specification, project delivery, and client-facing presentations. This is a senior role combining hands-on design leadership with team management, with responsibility for developing design standards, supporting major projects, and strengthening team capabilities.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the lighting design team, setting standards for technical accuracy and design quality
• Oversee lighting specifications across commercial, residential, hospitality, and retail interior projects
• Review and approve lighting layouts, photometric calculations, and compliance documentation
• Act as the senior technical point of contact for major client accounts and complex specification requirements
• Manage team resourcing, workload allocation, and performance development
• Collaborate with sales, technical, and project delivery teams to align design output with project and commercial requirements
• Represent NGA in client meetings, presentations, and competitive design scenarios
• Provide technical guidance on lighting design, specifications, and project requirementsCandidate Requirements
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in lighting design, preferably within architectural, interior, or commercial lighting environments
• Proven experience working on CIBSE and LEED-compliant projects
• Strong technical knowledge of UGR ratings, CRI values, dimming protocols, and stretch ceiling performance characteristics
• Experience managing or mentoring a lighting design team
• Strong understanding of lighting specifications, photometric calculations, and technical documentation
• Proficiency in lighting design software such as DIALux, Relux, or similar
• Strong client-facing, presentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience in specification sales, technical consultancy, or M&E-related design environments is an advantagePreferred Qualifications
• Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related field
• SLL Lighting Diploma or working towards CIBSE membership (AssocCIBSE/MCIBSE) strongly preferred
• IALD membership or working towards LC (Lighting Certified) credential is advantageous
• Proficiency in photometric analysis toolsWhat We Offer
