The Lighting Engineer will design and develop lighting solutions that integrate seamlessly with home automation systems, including layout planning, fixture selection, and system configuration. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing detailed lighting design documents, performing load calculations, coordinating with project managers, electricians, and automation engineers, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. The role also involves on-site inspections, troubleshooting lighting and control systems, optimizing energy efficiency, and providing technical guidance during installation and commissioning. The Lighting Engineer will collaborate with clients to understand requirements, present design concepts, and support ongoing maintenance and upgrades.Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Lighting Design and general Lighting principles for residential and commercial environments.Candidates should possess expertise in Lighting Control and integration with home automation systems.Candidates should possess practical knowledge of LED Lighting Systems, including selection, specification, and energy-efficient solutions.Candidates should possess experience with Street Lighting or exterior lighting projects, including safety and regulatory considerations.Relevant engineering degree (e.g., Electrical Engineering, Lighting Engineering, or related field) or equivalent professional experience.Ability to read and create technical drawings and schematics; familiarity with CAD or lighting design software is an advantage.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and focus on quality and safety.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams and clients.Knowledge of local UAE electrical and building codes and standards related to lighting is beneficial.
