Lighting sales engineer

We are looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Lighting Sales Engineer to join our team in Riyadh.The ideal candidate will combine strong technical knowledge of lighting products and applications with excellent sales and communication skills. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing customer relationships, understanding project requirements, and providing suitable lighting solutions from concept through to order.This is an excellent opportunity for a results-driven professional who is passionate about lighting, design, engineering, and project-based sales.Key Responsibilities• Develop and maintain strong relationships with consultants, architects, interior designers, contractors, developers, and key clients.• Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the lighting and construction market.• Visit clients, project sites, consultants, and contractors to understand requirements and promote lighting solutions.• Prepare and deliver technical and commercial presentations for clients and project stakeholders.• Understand project specifications, drawings, BOQs, lighting schedules, and technical requirements.• Recommend appropriate lighting products and solutions based on project requirements, design intent, performance, and budget.• Prepare quotations, technical submittals, product selections, and commercial proposals.• Coordinate with the design, technical, procurement, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.• Follow up on quotations, negotiations, purchase orders, deliveries, and project requirements.• Monitor market trends, competitors, new lighting technologies, and emerging opportunities.• Develop and maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve assigned sales targets.• Support the specification of company products with consultants, designers, and project stakeholders.• Attend client meetings, presentations, exhibitions, and industry events when required.• Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the sales and project lifecycle.• Maintain accurate CRM/customer records, sales forecasts, and opportunity updates.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or a related field.• 2–5 years of experience in lighting sales, technical sales, lighting design, electrical products, or a related field.• Strong understanding of architectural and decorative lighting products and applications.• Good knowledge of lighting terminology, specifications, and technical requirements.• Experience dealing with consultants, contractors, architects, interior designers, and developers is highly preferred.• Ability to read and understand technical drawings, BOQs, specifications, and lighting schedules.• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.• Commercially driven with a strong focus on achieving sales targets.• Excellent problem-solving and customer relationship management skills.• Good command of English; Arabic is highly preferred.• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; knowledge of AutoCAD, DIALux, or similar lighting software is an advantage.• Valid Saudi driving license is preferred.Key CompetenciesTechnical• Lighting technology & applications• Product selection• Technical specifications• Lighting calculations and concepts• Drawings and BOQ interpretationSales & Commercial• Business development• Consultative selling• Negotiation• Account management• Sales pipeline management• Target achievementPersonal• Excellent communication• Customer-focused mindset• Initiative and ownership• Strong presentation skills• Teamwork and collaboration• Problem-solving• Ability to work under pressureWhat We Offer• Competitive salary and commission structure.• Opportunity to work with leading lighting products and solutions.• Exposure to major architectural, commercial, hospitality, and residential projects.• Professional growth and career development opportunities.• A dynamic and collaborative working environment.How to ApplyIf you are passionate about lighting and sales, have a strong technical mindset, and are looking for an opportunity to grow within the lighting industry, we would love to hear from you.
