Job PurposeThe Liner Manager Middle East is responsible for managing and developing liner operations in the Middle East region, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and commercial growth. The role covers both TEUs and High & Heavy cargo in car carriers or breakbulk with an initial focus on in-house customers and a later expansion into new business opportunities.About the Maritime ClusterAD Ports Group’s Maritime & Shipping Cluster is led by Noatum Maritime, a globally connected agile entity operating across multiple countries. With a fleet of over 250 vessels and decades of expertise, Noatum Maritime offers a diverse portfolio of services delivering “everything you need on the seas.”Responsibilities Core & Strategic Responsibilities:Commercial Development: Manage and strengthen relationships with in-house customers, ensuring high cargo volumes and profitability from the start.Market Expansion: Design and implement a growth strategy to acquire new customers in the region, aligned with Noatum Maritime’s global strategy.Sales Structure & Customer Service.Build and lead the downstream sales team in the region.Implement an efficient customer service front desk, ensuring agile and high-quality service.Operational Optimization: Ensure efficient, cost-effective, and standardized liner operations in alignment with global company standards.Collaboration with Global Teams: Work closely with the global liner team and other regional Liner Managers.People Management Responsibilities:Lead the sales and operational team in the Middle East, ensuring alignment with the company’s commercial and operational strategy.KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate and improve team effectiveness.Develop a high-performance team, focusing on training, upskilling, and professional growth.QualificationsExtensive experience in the liner shipping industry, specializing in TEUs and/or High & Heavy cargo in car carriers.Strong knowledge of commercial and operational strategies within the shipping sector.Fluent in English; additional regional languages are an advantage.At least 15 years of experience in the Liner Shipping industry, with a strong background in commercial and managerial roles within liner operations.Required SkillsFinancial expertise.Strong understanding of Liner Shipping Operations, Commercial Liner representation, customs procedures and maritime regulations. Ability to manage and achieve profit targets.
