Linux & Container Platform EngineerDXC Technology | Saudi Arabia Experience: 7+ yearsRole SummaryDXC Technology is seeking a Linux & Container Platform Engineer to support business-critical infrastructure across physical, virtual, and hybrid environments. The role combines Linux administration with the operation of container platforms, with a focus on availability, security, automation, and performance.Key ResponsibilitiesLinux InfrastructureAdminister and troubleshoot Linux systems across physical and virtual environments.Manage operating system patching, upgrades, performance tuning, and capacity.Use centralized management tools such as Red Hat Satellite or SUSE Manager to support consistent configuration and patching.Automate routine administration using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.Support virtualization platforms such as VMware or KVM.Container PlatformsDeploy, operate, and troubleshoot containerized workloads using Docker or Podman and an orchestration platform such as Kubernetes or OpenShift.Manage Helm deployments, ingress, persistent storage, secrets, certificates, and access controls.Support container image pipelines, CI/CD integration, and environment automation.Monitor platform health and performance using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.Perform backup and restore activities and help maintain operational readiness.Security and Service ReliabilityApply operating system and container security controls, including role-based access and hardening standards.Support logging, auditing, and integration with security monitoring tools.Investigate incidents, resolve recurring issues, and document operational procedures.Required Experience and QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 7 years of relevant infrastructure experience, including at least 1 year in a similar Linux or container platform role.Hands-on Linux administration experience, including troubleshooting, patching, and performance tuning.Hands-on experience with container technologies and Kubernetes or OpenShift.Experience with infrastructure automation using Ansible, Puppet, or a similar tool.Working knowledge of container networking, persistent storage, secrets, and access controls.Experience supporting virtualized or hybrid infrastructure.Preferred ExperienceRed Hat Satellite or SUSE Manager.Helm, GitOps, or Argo CD.Prometheus and Grafana.CIS hardening, OS auditing, log forwarding, or SIEM integration.Relevant Linux, Kubernetes, or container certifications.What We Are Looking ForAn engineer who can keep Linux and container platforms stable, secure, and well maintained, and who can resolve issues across both operating systems and containerized workloads.
