This opportunity can be a good fit for someone with professional engineering experience, an experienced developer looking to give back, or someone earlier in their technical journey who wants practical experience working on meaningful projects.The exact scope of involvement can be shaped around your experience, interests, and availability.Potential areas of contribution include:Supporting the development and improvement of mobile applicationsWorking with Android/Kotlin and, where applicable, iOS/SwiftConnecting applications with backend services and databasesWorking with Firebase, MongoDB, and Google Cloud technologiesHelping develop and implement new featuresIdentifying bugs, performance issues, and opportunities for improvementParticipating in technical discussions, code reviews, and collaborative developmentExploring new technologies that could improve our applications and programsWorking with internal Firebase data and Google Cloud APIsHelping maintain reliable, responsive, and user-friendly applicationsTechnical BackgroundExperience in some of the following areas would be helpful:Kotlin and native Android developmentAndroid SDK and Android StudioModern Android architecture, including ViewModel and LiveDataFirebase Authentication, Firestore/Realtime Database, Cloud Functions, Crashlytics, and AnalyticsMongoDB and mobile-oriented data modelingGoogle Cloud Platform and cloud-based servicesGit and collaborative development workflowsOffline storage, threading, and mobile performance optimizationPush notifications and cloud messagingMobile analyticsApp deployment and publishingYou don't need to have experience with every technology listed.
