Role: Linux Systems Administrator (FNMOC)Location: Monterey, CA (Onsite)Duration: Full TimeJob DescriptionSeeking a Linux System Administrator to support for administration of the operational Cross Domain Solution (CDS) environment located at the Fleet Numerical Meteorology and Oceanography Center (FNMOC) in Monetary, California.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- All work will be performed on site- Support for administration of the operational Cross Domain Solution (CDS) environment located at FNMOC.- Perform regular review and maintenance of the CDS environmentImplement tasking and updates- Provide emergency break=fix support as neededTasking to include:- System Monitoring and Log Management- System Maintenance and Security- User Support and Account Management- Endpoint, Bridge Server, and Data Flow AdministrationRequired Skills- Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Computer Science or CompTIA Security+ Certification- Training in Red Hat Enterprise Linux- 3-years experience in RedHat Enterprise Linux administration- Knowledge of Apache NiFi software components and configuration- Experience with supporting Linux systems and subsystems, including storage and backup solutions, in an operational environment- Experience with provisioning Linux systems and performing operational testing- Experience with securing Linux systems using tools, including STIGS and vulnerability scanners- Knowledge of project management processes and documentation- Ability to draft technical documentation targeted at various reader levels, including users, operators, and system analysts
