Team members work collaboratively to support clients through complex legal matters with professionalism and respect.Role Description The Litigation Legal Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Fircrest, WA. This role supports attorneys in all phases of litigation by preparing and organizing legal documents, managing case files, and maintaining accurate records. Daily responsibilities include drafting and formatting pleadings and correspondence, filing documents with courts, and coordinating discovery materials. The role also involves scheduling hearings, depositions, and meetings, managing calendars and deadlines, and communicating with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional manner. The Litigation Legal Assistant may also assist with administrative tasks such as data entry, document management, and general office support to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.Qualifications Strong foundational knowledge of law and litigation processes, with the ability to understand and follow legal procedures.Proficiency in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading pleadings, motions, and correspondence.Experience providing legal assistance, such as organizing case files, supporting discovery, and coordinating communication with clients and courts.Administrative assistance skills, including file management, data entry, and general office support.Calendaring skills, with experience scheduling hearings, depositions, meetings, and tracking critical deadlines.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency with legal practice management software, document management systems, and standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Prior experience as a litigation legal assistant, paralegal, or similar role in a law firm or legal setting preferred.Relevant education such as an associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or comparable training in legal studies is beneficial.
