Litigations Section Head

Role PurposeTo manage and represent SANS in all legal cases, disputes, litigations, investigations and corporate claims by providing efficient legal support, and interface with governmental bodies and interact with external lawyers and act as point of contact, within set KPI’s, agreed budgets and adopted policies and procedures.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIESConsultationsProvide legal revisions and consultations on all cases that might result in complaints and lawsuits, ensuring legal compliance with applicable law.Efficiently provide legal advice to resolve any legal disputes in order to mitigate the legal risks.Communicate with SANS related department with the root cause of current and previous legal cases to preventrisk from recurring and enhance legal obligation across SANS.Keep up to date with, and understanding applicable laws, regulations and internal policies.InvestigationsManaging, supervising the internal investigation in relation to actual malpractice, misconduct, and breach any of the internal policies and procedures by the employees in the matters referred to the legal Affairs Department.Provide recommendations for disciplinary action in case of misconduct, or breach of any of the internal policies and procedures by the employees.Managing, supervising the observations from Anti-Corruption authorities such as Nazaha, and General Court of Audit.Lead and participate in several committees as instructed by superiors, supporting committees in any related issues.LitigationsSupervise and review all the legal cases performed by External Law Firms in all procedures, to ensure that it covers all the legal elements and complies with applicable Laws, Regulations, policies, and procedures.In the case of a dispute or litigation, defend and protect SANS interests in all applicable courts; and seek to resolve any conflicts to reduce legal risks, financial and reputational loss.Monitor as well as represent corporate in front of all courts of law and committees in all corporate claims by providing the required documents and legal memorandums.Coordinate with internal and external parties accordingly and collect all relevant information for ongoing lawsuits in both general and specialized courts, providing needed legal support.Examine grievances and complaints related to lawsuits against the corporate or its subsidiaries, providing suitable resolutions.Manage claims and attorney letters, as well as the litigations process, preparing reports and providing necessary recommendations.Review claims and litigations information’s to ensure that they are valid and settled in accordance to company practices and procedures.Coordinate with attorney offices for related SANS lawsuits in the kingdom in order to protect corporate interests.Receive judicial notifications, attend sessions at the specified times, and prepare reports on each session.Submit and follow up the implementation of judicial rulings in courts.Draft and prepare all legal responses and provide all relevant documents to take the necessary actions for all the lawsuits.Contracts Develop standard templates and processes, then update them based on legal regulations.Drafting and revising various types of legal documents in Arabic.Policies, Processes and ProceduresSupport in monitoring day-today activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and procedures.Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems and processes considering leading practices, changes in business environment, cost reduction and productivity improvementPeople ManagementActively participate in on-the-job training, mentoring and coaching of subordinatesProvide clear direction, prioritize tasks, assign and delegate responsibility and monitor the workflow.Promote a high-performance working environment embracing SANS’s valuesQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSMinimum 6 years of experience in legal field.is required.A bachelor’s degree in Legal or equivalent is required.#Litigation #LegalLeadership #CorporateLaw #DisputeResolution #LegalCompliance #Investigations #RiskManagement #LegalAdvisory #ContractLaw #SANS #SaudiLaw #LegalManagement
