Live-In Nurse - Elderly Care (FM)

Job Overview:We are seeking a compassionate, experienced, and reliable Live-In Nurse (FM)to provide dedicated care and assistance to an elderly (FM) at a private residence of an Emirati family in Sharjah.The role will primarily involve overnight presence and support, ensuring the elderly is comfortable, safe, and assisted with her routine needs during the night. The successful candidate will be expected to remain attentive and available during the night, while daytime hours may be used for appropriate rest, subject to the care requirements.The ideal candidate will have previous experience caring for elderly patients, preferably within a private home, home-care, or geriatric care environment, and demonstrate a calm, patient, respectful, and caring approach.Key Responsibilities:Provide attentive and compassionate care to the elderly (FM) within a private residential setting.Stay with and monitor the elderly (FM) during the night, providing assistance whenever required.Assist with mobility, walking, transfers, and positioning as appropriate.Support with personal care and daily living activities, where required.Assist with toileting and other routine night-time needs.Monitor the elderly (FM) general wellbeing and promptly communicate any concerns or unusual changes.Support medication routines as directed by the family or healthcare professional, within the scope of the candidate's qualification and responsibilities.Provide companionship, reassurance, and emotional support.Maintain a safe, clean, comfortable, and respectful environment.Follow family instructions and any established care plans or medical guidance.Communicate effectively with family members regarding the elderly condition, needs, and any concerns.Maintain appropriate records or handover notes where requiredQualification & Experience:FM candidate required.Nursing, Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistant, Caregiver, or equivalent qualification.Previous professional experience in elderly care / geriatric care is essential.Experience working in a private residence, home-care, long-term care, or similar setting is highly preferred.Experience providing overnight care or working with elderly patients requiring assistance during the night is an advantage.Good command of spoken English with the ability to communicate clearly with the family.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Calm, patient, caring, trustworthy, and emotionally mature personality.Able to work independently and respond appropriately to the needs of an elderly person.
