The organization is committed to shaping a better future through bold ideas and strong partnerships.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an LLM Engineer based in Dubai. The LLM Engineer will design, develop, and optimize large language model solutions to support AFM Holding’s diverse business units, including digital marketing, e-commerce, and internal automation. Daily responsibilities include building and fine-tuning models, creating robust prompt and retrieval pipelines, integrating LLMs into production systems, and collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to deliver practical AI applications. The role involves evaluating model performance, improving reliability, addressing safety and compliance requirements, and maintaining clear documentation and reusable components. The LLM Engineer will also stay current with advances in generative AI and help identify new opportunities to apply LLM technologies across the group.Qualifications Strong foundation in computer science, software engineering, or related fields, with proficiency in Python and common ML/AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face).Experience with large language models, including training, fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and evaluation of generative AI systems.Knowledge of NLP techniques such as tokenization, embeddings, text classification, summarization, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG).Skills in designing and deploying scalable backend services and APIs, preferably using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).Understanding of data engineering practices, including dataset creation, cleaning, labeling, and management of structured and unstructured text data.Awareness of AI ethics, safety, and responsible AI practices, including bias mitigation, data privacy, and secure handling of sensitive information.Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, translate business requirements into technical solutions, and communicate complex concepts clearly.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience is also valued.Experience applying LLMs in domains such as digital marketing, e-commerce, or enterprise process automation is an advantage.
