To achieve this mission, the position must deliver high-quality service to both internal and external members. A key component of this service is to provide aggressive loan volume production. Loan Sales + Solution Specialist also cross-sell consumer loans and ancillary products on loans. This position is also responsible for cross selling small business loans, credit cards, and home equity loans.Essential Functions & Responsibilities:E 35% Meets with members on the phone or video conference to cross sell loans and ancillary products. Leverage the credit report to determine the next best product to cross sell. Documents the loan process and take clear and concise notes in the system for review.E 25% Asks high impact questions to identify cross-selling opportunities to offer specific products and services that benefit the members. Must meet minimum standards for GAP, service contracts, and CLAD. Meets established thresholds to fully protect loans.E 10% Works with the loan servicing specialists, title clerk, and members to close a loan timely.E 10% Actively works the call lists from internal campaigns, Savvy Money, ALR, etc. to cross sell loans and products to meet established goals.E 10% Coaches members on how they can increase their credit scores via a credit enhancement consultation to provide recommendations for key actions to achieve higher scores and reduce debt.N 5% Provide hospitality service with the overall loan experience. Communicate effectively in writing, over the phone, video chat, and in person.N 5% Performs other job related duties as assigned.Performance Measurements:To practice, promote, and support the Vision, Mission, and Core Values of the CU and to ensure they are carried out by each employee.Cross sell Credit Life, on 55% of loans and 35% Disability on loans that qualify. Responsible for cross- selling GAP and vehicle service contracts to protect the CU and the member.Cross sell GAP on 70% of autos booked.Provide informed, prompt, professional and accurate service and support to all members and associates by responding to email within 6 hours.Call/email members on the ALR (auto loan recapture) list to produce loan volume congruent with monthly loan production goals.Develop, maintain, and demonstrate a working knowledge of credit union loan standards, policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal government rules and regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve member and internal inquiries in a timely and accurate manner.Maintain NMLS designation and discuss mortgages and Home Equity loans as appropriate.Have advanced understanding of Reg B and Truth in lending, Reg Z. Must have compliance with Truth in Lending, Reg B, and Reg Z. Also must be in Compliance with completing timely SARs, FACTA,MIP/CIP and red Flag. Must be well versed in Regulations such as: REG CC, BSA, OFAC, Reg B, Reg Z and MIP (CIP).Must be available to work 2 Saturdays per month.Knowledge and Skills:ExperienceOne year to three years of similar or related experience.EducationA high school education or GED. Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor preferred (CCUFC).Interpersonal SkillsMotivating or influencing others is a material part of the job. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others. The role requires a significant level of trust or diplomacy.Other SkillsMust have good communication skills. Must be computer literate and have good data entry skills.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, stoop, kneel, talk and hear.Vision requirements include: close vision and the ability to focus. Nature of the position requires physical mobility and the ability to lift a maximum of 20 pounds.Work EnvironmentFull-time employees are required to complete (16) hours of volunteerism and (8) hours for Part-time employees. All volunteer time has to be approved prior to event.
