Logistics & Supply Chain Lead

Role PurposeThe Warehouse, Logistics & Supply Chain Lead is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain operations, including inventory management, warehouse operations, transportation, import/export activities, customs coordination, and order fulfillment. The role ensures efficient material flow, stock accuracy, timely deliveries, cost optimization, and compliance with company policies and local regulations while supporting business growth and customer satisfaction.Key ResponsibilitiesSupply Chain Management• Manage end-to-end order fulfillment from supplier shipment through customer delivery.• Coordinate with suppliers, headquarters, customers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics provider (3PL).• Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock availability to support business requirements.• Develop inventory replenishment plans and forecast stock requirements based on sales demand.• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks impacting customer deliveries or inventory availability.• Drive continuous improvements to optimize service levels, inventory performance, and supply chain costs.Third-Party Warehouse Management• Act as the primary contact for the outsourced warehouse provider.• Monitor warehouse service performance against agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).• Ensure timely receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities are performed by the warehouse provider.• Conduct regular business reviews with the warehouse provider to assess operational performance.• Monitor warehouse KPIs and implement corrective actions where required.• Ensure proper inventory handling, storage conditions, product traceability, and stock security.• Coordinate physical inventory counts and stock reconciliations with the warehouse provider.• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, damages, and stock losses.Logistics & Transportation• Coordinate inbound and outbound transportation activities.• Manage domestic and international shipments, including air, sea, and land transportation.• Coordinate delivery schedules and monitor shipment status to ensure on-time delivery.• Liaise with logistics providers, couriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers.• Negotiate transportation rates and service agreements to optimize logistics costs.• Ensure smooth coordination between warehouse providers, customers, and logistics partners.Import, Export & Customs Compliance• Manage import and export activities in compliance with UAE and GCC regulations.• Coordinate import and export documentation, including:  o Commercial Invoices o Packing Lists o Certificates of Origin o Airway Bills (AWB) o Bills of Lading (BL) o Customs Declarations• Maintain records of shipments and customs clearances.• Support duty and tax optimization initiatives where applicable.Inventory Management• Maintain overall responsibility for inventory accuracy across outsourced warehouse locations.• Review stock movements, inventory aging, and replenishment requirements.• Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory.• Ensure SAP inventory records are aligned with physical stock.• Coordinate regular cycle counts and annual stock audits.• Investigate root causes of inventory variances and implement corrective actions.Process Improvement & Reporting• Develop and maintain supply chain KPIs and dashboards.• Analyze warehouse and logistics performance metrics.• Prepare management reports on:  o Inventory levels o Order fulfillment o Logistics costs o Delivery performance o Supply chain efficiency• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service levels and operational performance.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field.Experience• 2 - 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, and supply chain management.• Experience managing import/export operations in the UAE and GCC region.• Experience managing outsourced warehouse (3PL) operations and logistics providers.• Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA.• Strong understanding of inventory management and warehouse operations.Why DEHN?• Responsibility drives us.
