Role Description The Director role at KP-TEVTA is a full-time, on-site position based in Karak. The Director oversees planning, implementation, and evaluation of technical and vocational training programs at assigned institutions or in the region, ensuring alignment with KP-TEVTA policies and standards. Daily responsibilities include leading academic and administrative teams, managing budgets and resources, monitoring performance indicators, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality assurance frameworks. The Director coordinates with government departments, industry partners, and community stakeholders to develop partnerships, identify skills needs, and support graduate employment. The role also involves preparing reports, contributing to policy development, mentoring staff, and promoting a safe, inclusive, and learner-centered environment.QualificationsStrong leadership, team management, and organizational skills, with the ability to supervise multidisciplinary staff and drive performance.Experience in technical and vocational education, training management, or related sectors, including curriculum implementation and quality assurance.Proficiency in strategic planning, program development, and monitoring and evaluation to support data-informed decision-making.Solid financial and resource management skills, including budgeting, cost control, and efficient utilization of facilities and equipment.Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills for working with government bodies, industry partners, and local communities.Capability to develop and implement policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks in line with public sector regulations.Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Technical Education, Management, Public Administration, or a related field; higher qualifications or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.Prior experience in a senior administrative or leadership role within an educational, training, or public sector organization is highly desirable.Commitment to ethical conduct, inclusivity, youth development, and continuous improvement in TVET delivery.
