Role Description The Director role is a full-time, on-site position located at Christ University’s campus in Wayanad. The Director will provide academic and administrative leadership, oversee program development, and ensure alignment with the University’s vision, mission, and quality standards. Key responsibilities include managing faculty and staff, supervising day-to-day operations, and fostering a culture of academic excellence and holistic development. The Director will be responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, resource allocation, and compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements. The role also involves building partnerships, representing the institution at academic and public forums, and promoting research, innovation, and community engagement.QualificationsDemonstrated leadership and management skills in an academic or higher education setting, including team coordination and stakeholder engagement.Strong strategic planning, organizational, and decision-making abilities to oversee programs, operations, and quality initiatives.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills for working with faculty, staff, learners, and external partners.Experience in academic administration, curriculum development, and accreditation or regulatory compliance.Commitment to holistic education, ethical conduct, diversity, and inclusive practices in a university environment.Doctoral degree or equivalent advanced qualification in a relevant academic discipline, with a strong record of teaching, research, or academic administration.Prior experience at the level of Head of Department, Dean, Director, or equivalent leadership role in a recognized institution is highly desirable.Ability to work on-site in Wayanad and collaborate effectively with the wider Christ University network and governing bodies.
