Apply & track with Apply EdgeAbout the client:A North American importer specializing in wood panel and building materials, known for its strong global supplier network, quality assurance standards, and customer-focused supply chain solutions.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and enter purchase orders and cost sheets into the ERP system, ensuring accuracy and completenessMaintain and update purchase orders with real-time status, costing, and delivery informationCoordinate domestic and international shipments, including ocean and land freightCommunicate with freight forwarders, trucking companies, and shipping partners to manage delivery schedules and logistics executionEnsure ERP reflects up-to-date shipment and delivery status at all timesValidate shipments against purchase orders to ensure accuracy and completenessArrange transportation from ports/docks to customer sites or warehousesManage timely payment of shipping charges to facilitate container releasePrepare and manage import and customs documentation; liaise with customs brokers as requiredEnsure compliance with all applicable import regulationsMaintain inventory records within the ERP system and support month-end inventory reconciliation with accounting and warehouse partnersConduct periodic warehouse visits to perform or validate physical inventory countsCoordinate warehouse releases and monitor inventory movement and outstanding ordersGenerate sales confirmations and proforma invoices; maintain and track sales orders in ERPProvide customers and internal stakeholders with timely order status updates and shipment notificationsPerform general administrative duties including filing, answering phones, receptionist support, and ordering office suppliesManage logistics operations involving the import of large, heavy materials into the US and Canada, ensuring efficiency and complianceQualificationsProven experience in logistics coordination, supply chain, or a related roleStrong knowledge of international shipping, customs processes, and import regulations, particularly for US and Canadian marketsExperience handling logistics for large, heavy materials is highly preferredFamiliarity with ERP systems and inventory management processesProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, as well as database and email systemsStrong attention to detail with the ability to deliver accurate work under tight timelinesAbility to multitask and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication and interpersonal skills for coordinating with vendors, warehouses, and customersExperience in the lumber industry is an asset but not requiredSelf-motivated, organized, and capable of working both independently and collaborativelySalary and Benefits: $55,000 - $65,000 | Benefits | Paid Vacation | RRSPLocation: Downtown, Vancouver
