Logistics Director

Role DescriptionA Logistics Director is responsible for leading logistics strategy, transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery operations. The role focuses on operational efficiency, cost control, service quality, and supply chain performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures.Oversee transportation, warehousing, distribution, and delivery operations.Monitor logistics costs, KPIs, service levels, and operational performance.Manage routes, schedules, fleet operations, and delivery planning.Oversee warehouse operations, inventory movement, and storage.Manage logistics providers, carriers, suppliers, and service partners.Negotiate transportation rates, contracts, and service agreements.Identify cost-saving and operational efficiency opportunities.Monitor shipment schedules, delivery performance, and service quality.Manage logistics risks, delays, disruptions, and contingency plans.Coordinate with procurement, sales, finance, operations, and supply chain teams.Ensure compliance with customs, transportation, safety, and regulatory requirements.Manage logistics budgets, forecasts, expenses, and cost controls.Prepare logistics reports, performance analysis, and management updates.Lead, develop, and support logistics teams and continuous improvement initiatives.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Extensive experience in logistics management or senior logistics leadership.Strong knowledge of transportation, warehousing, distribution, and inventory operations.Experience managing logistics providers, carriers, suppliers, and contracts.Strong negotiation, commercial, and cost-control skills.Knowledge of route planning, fleet management, delivery operations, and KPIs.Experience with SAP, Oracle, WMS, TMS, or logistics management systems.Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Knowledge of customs, import/export, and transportation regulations.UAE/GCC logistics experience is advantageous.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Professional, organized, accountable, proactive, and results-orien
