Logistics Director - Luxury Fashion

Mode Search are partnering with a fast-growing luxury fashion business in their search for a Head of Logistics to establish and lead their global logistics function.This is a key leadership role responsible for building and scaling a best-in-class logistics operation across all channels. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence across warehousing, transportation, and international distribution, ensuring a seamless and customer-focused supply chain as the business continues to grow globally.The RoleDefine and implement logistics strategies across wholesale, retail, and ecommerce channelsOversee global movement of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring efficiency and accuracy across the supply chainManage third-party logistics partners (3PL), freight forwarders, and carriers, including contract negotiation and performance managementLead warehouse operations, including inventory positioning, space planning, and seasonal volume managementDrive international shipping compliance, including customs, duties, and trade regulationsPartner closely with Retail and Ecommerce teams to optimise fulfilment, replenishment, returns, and delivery experienceLead system optimisation and digital transformation across logistics (WMS, ERP), improving automation and scalabilityImplement reporting frameworks and dashboards to track performance, cost, and delivery metricsManage critical path timelines across collections, ensuring speed-to-market and operational efficiencyOversee inventory health strategies in collaboration with Merchandising to maximise sell-through and minimise excess stockSupport showroom logistics and sample tracking for campaigns and photoshootsBuild and lead a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvementRequirements10+ years’ experience in Logistics or Supply Chain, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership roleBackground within fashion, luxury, or a similar product-led environmentStrong experience across multi-channel distribution (wholesale, retail, ecommerce)Deep understanding of global shipping, customs, duties, and trade complianceProven experience managing 3PL providers and negotiating logistics contractsStrong systems knowledge (ERP, WMS) and ability to drive digital transformationAdvanced analytical skills, with experience using BI tools and Excel to drive decisionsDemonstrated experience building and scaling teamsStrong commercial awareness and cross-functional collaboration skillsProactive, solutions-driven, and able to operate in a fast-paced environmentPlease note: Due to the volume of applications, we are unable to provide individual feedback at this stage.
