It is a broad leadership role with responsibility for a complex international logistics operation, significant third-party relationships and an experienced team.The successful candidate will combine strong operational control with the ability to improve performance, develop people and help shape the organisation’s longer-term logistics and warehousing strategy.The opportunityYou will take responsibility for a varied logistics operation covering imported raw materials, external storage, UK distribution, customer service and third-party logistics providers.Working closely with colleagues across manufacturing, planning, forecasting, S&OP, commercial, finance, procurement and technical functions, you will ensure that logistics activity remains aligned with production requirements and customer demand.The role offers genuine scope to challenge established practices and introduce a more structured, commercially focused approach. You will be expected to remain close to day-to-day operations while also identifying opportunities to improve service, cost, capacity and resilience.Key areas of responsibility will include:Leading and developing an established logistics teamManaging international inbound and UK outbound logisticsOverseeing external warehousing and logistics partnersImproving service levels, cost control and operational performanceSupporting forecasting, planning and S&OP activityBuilding effective relationships across manufacturing and commercial functionsStrengthening processes, reporting and performance measuresSupporting customs and international trade requirementsReviewing future warehousing, transport and network requirementsContributing to wider business improvement and transformation projectsAbout youWe are interested in speaking with logistics and supply chain leaders who have worked within food, beverage, FMCG, manufacturing or another complex, service-critical environment.You are likely to offer:Broad logistics management experience covering transport, warehousing and 3PL relationshipsExperience leading and developing an established teamA strong understanding of operational cost and service performanceThe ability to work across planning, manufacturing and customer-facing functionsExperience delivering change and improving established operationsConfidence working with senior stakeholders and external providersA practical leadership style with the ability to operate strategicallyExperience of international inbound logistics, customs or imported materials would be beneficialThis position would suit an experienced Logistics Manager, Senior Logistics Manager or broader Supply Chain Manager who remains close to physical logistics operations.The role is based in Greater London and requires regular on-site presence.
