About the RoleThe Logistics Officer is responsible for coordinating and supporting logistics activities to ensure the timely and efficient movement of materials, equipment, supplies, and services. The role includes coordinating with internal departments, suppliers, service providers, and relevant external parties to ensure operational requirements are delivered in accordance with approved procedures, timelines, budgets, and quality standards.ResponsibilitiesLogistics Coordination Coordinate the transportation, delivery, collection, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies.Prepare and maintain logistics plans, delivery schedules, and operational checklists.Ensure that all logistics requirements are arranged and delivered within the agreed timelines.Coordinate logistics support for meetings, official visits, events, projects, and operational activities.Monitor the movement of materials and equipment from the point of request until final delivery.Supplier and Service Provider Coordination Coordinate with suppliers, transport companies, warehouses, and other service providers.Follow up on purchase orders, deliveries, invoices, and service completion.Verify that delivered items and services meet the approved specifications and quantities.Report supplier delays, shortages, damages, or quality concerns to the relevant stakeholders.Support supplier performance monitoring and maintain accurate supplier records.Documentation and Reporting Prepare logistics documents, delivery notes, receiving reports, inventory records, and tracking sheets.Maintain complete and accurate documentation for all logistics transactions.Prepare regular reports on deliveries, inventory levels, pending requests, supplier performance, and operational issues.Update logistics trackers and provide timely status updates to management and relevant departments.Ensure records are maintained in accordance with internal policies and audit requirements.Operational Support Provide logistics support during events, official functions, projects, and emergency requirements.Identify potential logistics risks and propose practical solutions or contingency arrangements.Respond promptly to urgent operational requirements.Coordinate with security, facilities, transportation, administration, and other relevant teams.Perform other logistics and operational duties assigned by the line manager.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.Professional certification in logistics, supply chain, procurement, or inventory management is an advantage.
