Project Logistics Manager – International Freight Forwarding – RemoteKeywords: Project Logistics, Project Cargo, Heavy Lift, Breakbulk, Freight Forwarding, Business DevelopmentAbout the CompanyWe are representing an established international freight forwarding and logistics provider looking to strengthen its project logistics operation.The business is seeking an experienced project logistics professional who can combine commercial development with hands-on project execution, developing new customer relationships while supporting complex international cargo movements.About the RoleThis is a remote Project Logistics Manager position with responsibility for both winning new project business and supporting the successful execution of projects once secured.You will develop relationships with customers across project-driven industries, identify and close new opportunities, and provide solutions across heavy lift, oversized, breakbulk, and multimodal transportation.The role requires someone who understands the operational realities behind project cargo. You will be involved in planning movements, identifying suitable subcontractors, reviewing routes and job sites, preparing project quotations, and supporting on-site execution when required.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop new business across project logistics and international freight forwardingProspect, qualify, quote, and close project-based transportation opportunitiesBuild and maintain relationships with key customer decision-makersDevelop solutions across heavy lift, oversized cargo, breakbulk, and multimodal transportationManage and grow existing project logistics customer relationshipsPrepare project quotations based on routing, operational requirements, and associated costsIdentify and evaluate specialist partners including heavy-haul providers, rigging companies, stevedores, and ocean carriersConduct or coordinate transport route, port, and job-site surveys where requiredSupport complex project cargo movements from initial planning through final deliveryAttend project sites and oversee operational activity when requiredWork closely with internal air and ocean operations teamsMonitor market activity and identify new commercial opportunitiesMaintain strong post-sale customer relationships and identify opportunities for continued growthCandidate RequirementsFluency in Japanese and English is requiredMinimum 4+ years of experience within international transportation and project cargoStrong understanding of project logistics, heavy lift, oversized, and breakbulk freightDemonstrated ability to develop and win project-based businessStrong knowledge of international transportation and multimodal solutionsComfortable combining sales, account management, and operational project executionExperience developing project quotations and evaluating transportation costsStrong customer-facing, presentation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to manage multiple customers and complex international shipmentsStrong commercial judgment and problem-solving abilityWillingness to travel extensively when required for customers and project executionBachelor’s degree preferredWhat You Can ExpectRemote positionSenior role combining project logistics sales and executionExposure to complex international project cargo movementsOpportunity to develop and manage your own customer relationshipsInvolvement across the complete project lifecycle, from initial opportunity through executionWork with specialist heavy-haul, rigging, stevedoring, and carrier partnersOpportunity to support and develop other members of the project logistics teamLong-term career development within an established international freight forwarding environment
