Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole PurposeThe Longevity, Recovery, & Sports Science coach is a specialist practitioner who sits at the intersection of sports science, human performance, and longevity. You will be the primary driver of our sports science programming, designing and overseeing guest training and movement protocols, leading VO₂ max and metabolic assessments, and delivering a portfolio of science-backed biohacking therapies through our Vitality Centre.Key Responsibilities 1. Sports Science & Performance Programming Lead Functional Fitness assessments, VO₂ max assessments and Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing, interpret results accurately, and translate findings into actionable, personalised training and lifestyle recommendations. Design evidence-based training programs for resort guests and members, aligned with individual longevity, recovery, and performance goals — with particular focus on VO₂ max improvement, strength and muscle preservation, and cardiovascular resilience. Work closely with the Personal Trainer to deliver these programs Deliver Personal Training and Exercise Classes to guests when capacity requirements demand it Collaborate closely with the coaches to develop integrated movement programming that aligns modalities and avoids duplication. Conduct initial performance consultations including fitness history review, goal setting, and milestone tracking. Educate guests on the science behind their programs, building genuine understanding of why specific training approaches serve their longevity and performance outcomes. Monitor guest progress, adjust programs based on ongoing assessment data, and document outcomes accurately. 2. Biohacking Therapies & Longevity Protocols Deliver and oversee the full menu of Vitality Centre biohacking therapies, including but not limited to: Cellgym IHHT (Intermittent Hypoxic-Hyperoxic Training) High-frequency PEMF (Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy) Red Light / Photobiomodulation Therapy Infrared Sauna Dome Contrast Therapy Compression Therapy (pneumatic compression boots) Additional Vitality Centre modalities as trained Apply and communicate science-backed protocols for each therapy, tailoring session parameters to individual guest profiles and goals. Conduct thorough pre-therapy consultations and contraindication screening to ensure safety and suitability. Stay current with emerging research on biohacking, recovery science, and longevity modalities; proactively propose protocol updates and new service innovations. Ensure all equipment is operated correctly, safely, and to manufacturer standards; report any maintenance needs promptly. 3. Guest Experience & Consultation Deliver an exceptional, 5-star guest experience that blends scientific rigour with warmth, approachability, and cultural sensitivity. Conduct initial consultations, covering health history, lifestyle, goals, and readiness, to build personalised training plans. Communicate complex science in clear, motivating language that empowers guests without overwhelming them. Guide guests through their Vitality Centre journey, ensuring smooth transitions between modalities and a coherent wellness narrative. Support upselling of relevant packages, programs, and products in an honest, education-led manner. 4. Team Collaboration & Operational Excellence Collaborate actively with the wellness team — Wellness consultants, coaches, and spa therapists— to ensure integrated guest care. Contribute to team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development. Maintain accurate, confidential records of guest assessments, programs, and progress. Support orientation tours, wellness education sessions, and promotional events as required. Contribute feedback to the marketing and management teams based on guest experience and emerging trends. Qualifications & Experience Essential Bachelor's degree in Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Sport & Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a closely related field. Minimum 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in exercise physiology, sports performance, physiotherapy, or a clinical/resort wellness setting. Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, with strong ability to communicate science clearly and engagingly to guests. Demonstrated ability to design personalised, evidence-based training programs across a range of fitness levels and health profiles. Genuine curiosity and demonstrable habit of keeping up with developments in longevity, sports, performance, and recovery science (e.g., follows researchers, reads journals, listens to science podcasts). Strong interpersonal skills and a team-first mindset, comfortable working in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary wellness team. Comfortable working in a luxury hospitality environment where guest experience standards are exceptionally high. Highly Desirable Personal Training experience or qualification Demonstrated practical experience conducting VO₂ max assessments and interpreting results for program design. Knowledge of Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) assessments Hands-on experience with one or more of our biohacking modalities: IHHT, PEMF, Red Light Therapy, Sauna Dome, contrast therapy, or compression boots. Nutrition qualification or working knowledge of nutritional science and its intersection with performance and longevity. Health coaching qualification Experience working in a luxury resort, wellness retreat, or longevity clinic setting. Professional certification from ACSM, NSCA (CSCS), or equivalent body. Understanding of Indonesian wellness tourism market and Balinese cultural context.
