Reporting to: Head of ProductDirect reports: PD team / as requiredROLE OVERVIEWThe PD Manager will lead the day-to-day Product Development team, ensuring projects are well organised, technically strong and delivered on time.This is a hands-on management role for an experienced PD who enjoys developing product but also wants to lead a team, manage priorities and take ownership of the overall PD process.Working closely with the Head of Product, Design and Production teams, the PD Manager will ensure the PD team is working efficiently and proactively across all projects.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPD Team Leadership· Lead and manage the day-to-day activities of the PD team.· Allocate projects and workload across the team based on experience, capability, project requirements and capacity.· Set clear priorities and expectations for each PD.· Monitor individual workloads and ensure resources are being used effectively.· Review the quality and progress of PD work before escalation to the Head of Product where required.· Review work and ensure a consistent standard across the team.

• Identify workload, performance or resource issues early and work with the Head of Product to resolve them.· Support and develop PD team members. Build a collaborative, organised and accountable PD team.Product Development · Oversee development from design handover through to production handover.· Manage fittings, samples, measurements, specifications and technical packs.· Ensure product meets agreed fit, quality and technical standards.· Work with factories and suppliers to resolve day-to-day development issues.· Work closely with Design to ensure projects are handed over to PD with clear and complete information.· Review design information and identify technical, cost or production issues early.· Ensure any gaps or unclear information are resolved before development progresses.· Ensure PDs are managing their projects proactively and keeping information up to date.· Support Design in finding practical solutions where creative requirements create technical or production challenges.· Ensure all technical information is accurate, complete and up to date before production handover.· Keep product costs, suppler pricing, POs and invoices accurate and up to date, flagging any discrepancies or unexpected cost early. Project Planning & Delivery· Own the PD critical path across projects.· Ensure deadlines and milestones are clearly planned and managed.· Identify delays, resource issues or technical risks before they impact the wider project.· Keep the Head of Product updated on key issues and project progress.· Work closely with Design and Production to keep projects moving.Process & Standards· Help improve the way the PD team works and communicates.· Maintain clear and consistent PD processes.· Encourage the reuse of proven blocks, construction methods, technical solutions and product knowledge where appropriate.· Ensure lessons learned from previous projects are captured and applied to future developments.· Support the development of consistent measurement, fit, grading and construction standards across projects.· Support the Head of Product in maintaining consistent product and technical standards across projects.Experience· 5-8 years’ experience in garment/product development.· Strong technical understanding of fit, construction, fabrics and manufacturing.· Previous experience managing or mentoring PDs is preferred · Highly organised with strong planning and communication skills.· Confident managing multiple projects and deadlines.· Good problem-solving skills and commercial awareness.· Comfortable working with factories and suppliers.· Extensive Zedonk and excel experience is essential· Strong commercial awareness, including understand budget, costing and margins, and the impact of development decisionsWhat Success Looks Like· A well-organised and proactive PD team.· Clear ownership of projects and deadlines.· Problems are identified early and come with solutions.· Strong technical and product standards.· Good communication between Design, PD and Production.· The Head of Product is able to focus on the wider product and commercial function rather than managing day-to-day PD details.Perks & Benefits· Competitive salary (55,000).· 24 days paid holiday + UK Bank Holidays.· Your birthday off — because you deserve it!· Team socials· Auto-enrolment pension.After 6-month probation:· Private Health Insurance (optional).· Season Ticket Loan (optional).· Discretionary performance bonus.Working Environment · Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm, office based ONLY, however flexibility from time to time is required.· Office based role, a 5-minute walk from Old Street Tube Station.
