M&V Engineer – Measurement & Verification

About the RolePactive Sustainable Solutions is looking for an experienced M&V Engineer to lead measurement and verification of energy savings across energy performance contracts and efficiency projects.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement IPMVP-based M&V plans (Options A, B, C, D) for ESCO and Energy Performance Contracts (EPC)Define measurement boundaries, baselines, and adjustment methodologies in line with contract requirementsBuild and validate regression/energy models, including routine and non-routine adjustmentsCalculate, verify, and reconcile guaranteed energy and cost savings against contractual targetsVerify ECM installation and performance through site inspections, measurements, and monitoringDefine metering, sub-metering, and BMS/EMS data requirements and ensure data qualityPrepare periodic M&V and savings reports for clients, regulators, and managementSupport savings disputes and contract discussions with sound technical justificationRequired QualificationsBachelor's in Mechanical/Electrical/Energy Engineering or related field4–6 years of experience in energy engineering, including hands-on M&VCMVP or PMVA certification (mandatory)Strong knowledge of IPMVP and savings calculation methodsExperience with ESCO/EPC savings guarantees and performance-based contractsGood understanding of HVAC, chillers, district cooling, lighting, controls, and utility tariffsStrong analytical, reporting, and client communication skillsPreferredESCO/EPC project experience in the UAE or GCCCEM certificationArabic speakingWhat We OfferThe opportunity to lead M&V on live energy efficiency and performance contracting projects across a diverse real estate portfolio, a clear career growth path, and competitive compensation and benefits.
