Essence Innovation focuses on empowering people to claim ownership of their medical data and gain greater control over their healthcare decisions.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Machine Learning Engineer role based in the Mohali district. The Machine Learning Engineer will design, develop, and deploy machine learning models that power real-time health insights and personalized recommendations in the app. Daily tasks include researching and implementing algorithms, building and optimizing neural network architectures, and working with pattern recognition techniques to improve data-driven features. The role involves collaborating with product, data, and engineering teams to translate healthcare requirements into scalable technical solutions, as well as maintaining model performance, monitoring data quality, and contributing to system architecture and documentation.Qualifications Strong foundation in Computer Science, including data structures, Algorithms, and software engineering principles.Hands-on experience with Neural Networks and Pattern Recognition for real-world machine learning applications.Proficiency in Statistics and quantitative analysis for model evaluation, experimentation, and performance optimization.Practical experience with machine learning frameworks and tools (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn) and programming languages such as Python.Experience working with large-scale datasets, data preprocessing, and model deployment in production environments.Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and document work effectively.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Background in healthcare, health tech, or regulated data environments is a plus.
