Projects cover generative AI, enterprise data, scientific simulation, sustainability, and business automation.The RoleOwn the full machine learning lifecycle, from understanding the customer’s problem and forming research hypotheses through to experimentation, modelling, deployment, monitoring, and retraining.This is a hands on technical role with direct customer exposure. Strong communication is important, as engineers must explain technical decisions clearly to both experts and nontechnical stakeholders.Responsibilities• Translate customer needs into practical machine learning solutions• Clean and prepare data for training and evaluation• Design, develop, and evaluate machine learning models• Select suitable algorithms and tools for each problem• Deploy models into production systems• Monitor model performance and retrain when required• Research and apply new machine learning techniques• Document architectures, processes, and findings• Communicate technical topics clearly to customers and internal teamsRequirements• Degree in computer science, mathematics, physics, engineering, biology, or another related discipline• Strong programming ability and experience writing maintainable code• Hands on experience with machine learning models and experimentation• Interest in applying current AI research to real business problems• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Professional English• Japanese is an advantageThe position is open across different experience levels, from engineers delivering defined technical work to senior candidates leading complex customer projects.
