Machinist

Strong experience with conventional/manual machines. Experience in turbine, compressor, pump, motor or rotating-equipment workshops is highly preferred. Ability to read engineering drawings and machining dimensions. Good understanding of machining tolerances, fits, clearances and surface finish. Ability to select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds. Experience machining shafts, sleeves, bushes, bearings, couplings, rotors and other rotating-equipment components. Knowledge of workshop safety procedures and proper machine maintenance. Ability to work independently and meet required machining tolerances.
