Our creativity and innovation takes inspiration from our markets around the globe.As our Engineer, you will:Provide fast and efficient installation, diagnostics, repairs and preventive maintenance to all the machinery, plant and equipment within the factory, keeping the Senior Works Engineer fully informed and up-to-dateCarry out basic electrical fault diagnosis and repairsWork with the Senior Works Engineer to facilitate large or major repairs to plant and equipmentAssist in the development and implementation of a planned maintenance programme in consultation with the Senior Works EngineerDemonstrate the effectiveness of planned maintenance through reducing numbers of breakdowns and problem-free equipment installationPurchase sundries, machine parts and services, in liaison with the Senior Operations Engineer, with due regard for stock levels and overall budgetArrange, assist and direct external contractors for specialist work or installations in consultation with the Senior Operations Engineer and Operations DirectorParticipate in the technical aspects of capital investment decisionsAdvise senior management on Health and Safety issues or concernsIf you have the following skills and attributes, then we want to hear from you.Recent, relevant and proven experience as a maintenance engineer or similar roleHigher level qualification in engineering or manufacturingSolid understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanicsFamiliarity using various power and hand toolsAbility to stand for long hours and lift heavy loadsProblem-solving and organisational skills - a self-starter who is well organised, positive, flexible and highly motivated to get the job done efficiently and safely using own initiative, and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and ability to work some overtimeConfident in communicating verbally and in writing in English.
