That’s why Aliaxis are here to help create the safest, most effective, and reliable solutions for sustainable fluid management.The Opportunity/Role 📢This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to support the maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of manufacturing plant and equipment within a fast-paced production environment. With a strong mechanical focus, the role will be responsible for fault finding, preventative maintenance, and equipment reliability, while driving continuous improvement initiatives to minimise downtime and optimise performance.Perform planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure the safe and efficient operation of manufacturing plant and equipment.Diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and implement preventative maintenance to maximise equipment reliability and minimise downtime.Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with health, safety, environmental, and company standards, including isolation and LOTOTO procedures.Support continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives to enhance operational performance, productivity, and asset reliability.Contribute to major maintenance shutdowns, equipment installations, and engineering projects while working collaboratively across the wider manufacturing team.Shift & Pay12 hour Panama shift pattern (inclusive of 12 hours day, night and weekend shifts)Starting from: £51,275.08 per annum (inc shift premium)RequirementsStrong mechanical maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing environment, with basic electrical fault-finding capability.Knowledge of machinery safety, machine guarding, and safe working practices.Ability to interpret technical drawings, engineering diagrams, and electrical schematics.Proven fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical equipment.NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent multi-skilled apprenticeship).Experience working with hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes, conveyors, pumps, bearings, and rotating equipment.Proficient in using CMMS and Microsoft Office applications.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.Proactive, self-motivated approach with a focus on continuous improvement and equipment reliability.Benefits☀ Holiday purchase scheme💸 Life Assurance 6x annual salary🏥 Critical illness cover📝 Pension contribution up to 10%🦷 Dental and healthcare cash plan👶 Enhanced parental leave👚 Great discounts on local retailers and restaurants🙌 Fantastic Health & Wellbeing package including an Employee Assistance Programme and access to My Strength🚲 Cycle to work scheme😍 Plus many moreEqual Opportunity EmployerAliaxis is proud to be an equal opportunity employer who welcomes candidates and employees from all backgrounds.
