Apply & track with Apply EdgeRole Description The Maintenance Manager is a part-time, hybrid role based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a mix of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations across school facilities, ensuring classrooms, studios, and common areas remain safe, functional, and well-presented. Typical tasks include planning and coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, supervising maintenance and repair activities, and managing equipment maintenance to minimize downtime. The Maintenance Manager will work closely with school leadership to prioritize work orders, coordinate with external vendors when necessary, maintain maintenance records, and support compliance with local safety and building regulations. The role also involves monitoring maintenance budgets, recommending improvements to facility operations, and responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues.QualificationsCandidates should possess strong Maintenance Management and Maintenance & Repair skills, with experience organizing work orders and overseeing facility upkeep.Candidates should possess solid Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance skills, including scheduling routine inspections and ensuring reliable operation of tools and systems.Candidates should possess Supervisory Skills, with the ability to guide maintenance staff or contractors, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance.Relevant experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or a similar technical field, preferably within educational or institutional environments.Knowledge of safety standards, basic HVAC, electrical, and plumbing principles, and the ability to coordinate with specialized technicians when required.Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a part-time, hybrid setting.Comfort with using digital tools for maintenance tracking, reporting, and communicating with school staff and vendors.Technical certification or diploma in maintenance, facilities management, engineering, or a related discipline is beneficial; equivalent practical experience is also valued.
