Maintenance Manager

Role Description The Maintenance Manager role at Silicon Unions is a part-time, hybrid position based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with some flexibility to work from home. The Maintenance Manager will oversee the maintenance and repair of equipment and facilities, ensuring all systems operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. Daily responsibilities include planning and coordinating preventive maintenance schedules, monitoring maintenance activities, supervising technicians or external vendors, and maintaining accurate records of maintenance work and costs. The role also involves troubleshooting equipment issues, implementing maintenance best practices, supporting safety and compliance standards, and recommending improvements to maintenance processes and asset reliability.QualificationsDemonstrated supervisory skills with the ability to lead maintenance teams and coordinate vendor activities.Strong experience in equipment maintenance and maintenance & repair across relevant mechanical or technical systems.Proficiency in preventive maintenance planning and execution to reduce downtime and extend asset lifecycle.Hands-on maintenance management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and process optimization.Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations related to facility and equipment maintenance.Good analytical and problem-solving abilities, with capacity to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.Comfort with using maintenance management software or digital tools to track work orders and asset history.Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, facilities management, or a related field is preferred.Prior experience in maintenance roles within technology, manufacturing, or facilities operations in the region is an advantage.
